Falooda-Awesome Summer Drink:

This is the very first time I am preparing Falooda.. Last one time i made it out of an instant Falooda mix .. But it tasted very bad..

So here’s my tried and tested version of Falooda, which my family loved!!And here I am taking this amazing drink to my friends at Angie’s Fiesta Friday #23:-)😊

Ingredients:

vermicelli/spaghetti-1/2 cup

Sugar-as per needed

milk-250 liter

green lime jelly mix-1 packet

basil seeds-1/2 cup ( soaked in plenty of water)

tutti fruity-as per taste(i used three colours)

cashew nuts and pistachio-a handful(chopped)

strawberry syrup-as per taste

rose essence-1 spoon

banana-1/2(cut to small chunks)

apple-1/2(cut to small chunks)

kiwi-1(sliced)

strawberry ice cream-1 scoop for each glass of falooda

vanilla ice cream-1/2 scoop for each glass of falooda

How to make:

1)first of all lets start making the jelly so that it would set inside the refrigerator by the time we prepare other needed stuff..heat 1 cup water in a pot..let it boil..add some sugar..add the jelly mixture and give a nice stir..let it cook for a while and then off the flame..

2)pour the jelly mixture to a flat dish,so that we could cut it to small thin pcs…let it cool and keep it in the refrigerator till it becomes hard…

3)now we need to prepare the Rose milk..boil milk in a pot..off the flame when its done,add the strawberry syrup( 2 spoon) and rose essence to this and stir well till the colour changes slightly…then keep it aside..rose milk is done😛!!

(i din’t use any artificial colour..so the rose essence would give the flavor and the strawberry syrup would change the colour…)

4)now lets prepare the vermicelli..boil 1 cup water along with some sugar..add the vermicelli/spaghetti when its boiled..stir well…add the rose milk to it when the vermicelli is almost cooked..

stir well and off the flame when its done!!

5)now lets check the jelly..if its done, lets start the final falooda layering process..

6)take 2 big glasses..first add the strawberry syrup as per taste..

7)add the fruit layers..

8)now add the vermicelli mixture…(2 spoon or so as per size of the glass)

9)now add the soaked basil seed which add richness to the falooda!!add as per taste…

10)now add the green jelly chunks evenly…try to fill the space between each layer by dipping a spoon or so..

11)now add the ice cream scoops..and finish it off with the cracked nuts and tutti fruity..

Falooda is done!!😃

i prepared just 2 glasses and saved the ingrediets for the next day…as its Fasting my hubby loves to have this after Ifthar(breaking the fast)..

i hope my friends would love this awesome drink to prepare and have at home…

  1. The falooda looks great, freshly prepared. I am not so keen on the instant, ready-made ones as it does not somehow bring about the same level of deliciousness as the home-made ones. Happy Iftar!
